Audiology Australia’s mission is to provide leadership in the science and practice of audiology through advocacy, promotion, education and networking. We enable audiologists to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care.
Our members work in a variety of fields including academia, research, diagnostics, indigenous health, hearing aid dispensing, deaf education, noise management, compensation, paediatrics and complex adult rehabilitation. Audiologists provide clinical services through hospitals, community health clinics, government funded agencies (eg Australian Hearing), hearing aid clinics, cochlear implant clinics, private practice, university clinics, Ear-Nose-Throat clinics and occupational hearing conservation programs.
Audiology Australia is recognised by Australian Commonwealth and State Governments as the principal association representing professional audiologists across all sectors of audiological practice. The organisation is governed by a Board and managed by a CEO and dedicated office staff. The office is located in Melbourne and each mainland state has a State Executive Committee to manage local member continuing professional development activities.
